The Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL3 Bikepack tent takes the same impressive interior space-to-weight ratio of its best-selling, award-winning namesake and appeals to touring cyclists with features like compact pole lengths, a storage sack with bike frame attachment options, and thoughtful storage options for clothes, gear, and helmets. The packability and organizational features also make it a great backpacking option.
Tapered from the head to the foot, the interior of the tent measures 70" at its widest point and stretches a full 90" in length. The 41 square feet of interior space provides adequate room for up to three cyclists or backpackers or can serve as a spacious shelter for two or one. Integrated vestibules offers 18 total square feet of additional weather-protected external storage space in front of the two side doors. You can even pitch the vestibules in an awning style to maximize airflow. High Volume pole architecture increases the verticality of the sidewalls and the doors so that there is more elbow room and livable space inside the tent. A three-dimensional shelf is ideal for storing gear in the otherwise wasted space above your feet. Internal mesh pockets and integrated media pockets provide other options for getting gear up off the floor and out of your way. Built-in gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Triangle Gear Loft, Square Gear Loft, Large Trapezoid Gear Loft, Wall Gear Loft, or Large Wall Gear Loft (all sold separately).
Ample mesh on the tent body and large mesh doors maximize cross ventilation and provide circulation to fight condensation build-up. Coated with 1200mm waterproof polyurethane, the silicone-treated ripstop nylon floor and rainfly are lightweight and durable. All of the tent's seams are sealed with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCs) to further protect the tent from the elements.
Lightweight, collapsible DAC Featherlite NSL pre-bent poles provide the tent with freestanding structure. The single hub/pole design works in conjunction with the tent body's integrated clips to make setup fast, easy and intuitive. By employing shorter pole sections, the tent packs down to just 7" x 13.5" to better fit in panniers or saddlebags or lash more conveniently to handlebars or bike frames. Included Dirt Dagger UL aluminum stakes allow you to maximize the tautness of the freestanding pitch and increase structural stability.
The custom-fit Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL3 Bikepack Footprint (sold separately) can be used to add additional protection beneath the tent from mud, ground water, or sharp objects. If you really want to travel light, leave the tent body at home and use just the rainfly, the poles, and the footprint for a tarp-style set-up that weighs a mere 3 pound, 4 ounces!
