An excellent balance of space, performance, and price, the four-person Big Agnes Dog House 6 camping tent utilizes an awning style design to offer full weather protection at a budget-friendly price.
The interior of the tent measures 100” long by 118” wide. This equates to 83 square feet of internal space. Interior mesh pockets maximize livability by allowing you to store gear and clothes above the floor. Integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Square Gear Loft (sold separately). Note that the awning style rainfly provides weather protection, but it doesn’t create any exterior vestibule storage space.
Lightweight DAC aluminum poles with press-fit connectors lend freestanding structure to the tent. Color-coded pole ends, grommet webbing, and buckles make it easy to attach the poles to the clips and sleeves of the tent body. Sturdy aluminum hook stakes are included to further secure the pitch of the freestanding tent.
Coated with 1500mm waterproof polyurethane, the polyester floor and rainfly are extremely durable. All of the tent's seams are seal-taped to further protect the tent from the elements. Mesh on the tent’s ceiling and sidewalls maximize cross ventilation and promote air circulation to fight condensation build-up. The Big Agnes Dog House 6 Footprint (sold separately) can be used to bolster protection from mud, ground water, and sharp objects like rocks, exposed roots and pine needles.
In warm temperatures and clear conditions, the tent can also be pitched as a sun shelter. Simply use the rainfly, the poles, and the included webbing harness without the tent body and enjoy maximum breathability!
