Warmed by water-resistant treated down insulation and a water-repellent exterior, the lightweight and compressible Big Agnes Dotsero Down Blanket is ready for any on-the-go adventure. It has sprawling 88” x 80” dimensions but weights just over 2 pounds.
The blanket is insulated with 650-fill DownTek water-resistant down. While down insulation has long been renowned for its compressible properties and excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, its shortcoming has been susceptibility to the effects of moisture, losing much of its performance qualities when wet or damp. DownTek insulation utilizes nano technology and a proprietary application process to provide water-repellency and both anti-microbial and anti-bacterial protection. The blanket’s polyester taffeta shell fabric has a water-repellent finish to further protect the insulation from the elements.
The blanket does not have an official temperature rating, but Big Agnes suggests it for use in temperatures of 45 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer. You can always couple the bag with other bags, quilts, or blankets (all sold separately) to increase warmth in colder temperatures. A storage sack and stuff sack are included.
