The Big Agnes Pitchpine VST 1.5 backpacking tent creates an extremely spacious shelter for one that sets up quickly and easily. While not freestanding, the simple design delivers ultralight performance without requiring trekking poles.

Description

Ultralight livability that's easy to set up: With a trail weight of 1 pound, 11.1 ounces, it's easy to carry this tent on minimal solo adventures. Wider sizing accommodates 25" wide sleeping pads and offers extra space for gear or a furry friend. A hybrid single/double wall design uses integrated ventilation to reduce condensation, and the solution-dyed fabric doesn't stretch as much as traditional tent fabrics, making it ideal for the semi-freestanding design. A single pole provides stability and simplifies setup compared with trekking pole tents.
Reliable waterproof performance designed for seasons of use: Big Agnes' proprietary HyperBead waterproofing technology is used for the rainfly and tent floor. This innovative fabric is lighter, more waterproof, and more dimensionally stable than traditional fabrics, without intentionally added PFAS or other water repellent chemicals. Since there's nothing added to "wear off" over time, there's no need to re-waterproof your tent!
Protected vestibule adds storage space: The tent's front vestibule adds eight square feet of protected storage space, along with a place for you to enter or exit while keeping your tent dry in inclement weather. Double zippers on the rainfly door also let you create a vent from either the top or bottom for increased airflow depending on conditions.
