Description

Stable, lofty surface for sleeping comfort: The baffled design creates a mattress-like feel you'll appreciate after a long day on the trail. Incredibly plush, this pad gives you 3.5" of inflated thickness to make sure you don't feel any lumps or bumps underneath. Outer rails measure 4.25" thick to cradle you in the middle even if you toss and turn at night.
Insulated warmth for multi-season use: The toasty 4.8 R-value makes this pad more than capable of being your backpacking go-to from spring to fall. Big Agnes achieves this with two layers of quiet heat reflective film on the inside of the pad.
Packable and lightweight without sacrificing durability: Nylon double ripstop fabric protects the bottom of the pad and provides a comfortable sleeping surface. The baffles utilize aviation-grade TPU lamination for welded strength under pressure. An antimicrobial treatment inside the pad prevents microorganism growth that can damage it.

Sizing, inflation and storage

The Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated sleeping pad is available in five sizes: Petite (66" x 20"), Regular (72" x 20"), Long (78" x 20"), Wide (72" x 25") and Wide Long (78" x 25"). A stuff sack is included for easy packing and storage, as well as an inflation sack for moisture-free inflation and a field repair kit. Paired with the inflation sack, the dual-port valve delivers fast one-way inflation or deflation.

So far so good

Likes

I’ve used this pad on several trips. I like that it is lightweight and pretty comfortable. If Big Agnes would offer a shirt wide version it would offer more room for those of us who move a lot in our sleep.

Dislikes

I dislike the crinkle sound, but am hopeful it will get better with more use.

I wish I bought this pad years and many miles earlier

Likes

Packs very small, light weight, very very comfortable, easy and quick setup and take down. The long version (78" x 20") was perfect for this six foot side sleeper.

Dislikes

I wish the color was more nature tone, maybe green and not what looks rust-orange to me.
