Built especially for couples and available at a budget-friendly price, the Big Agnes Sleepy Bear 35 Degree Doublewide sleeping bag is roomy and comfortable. Lightweight, compressible synthetic insulation insulates even in wet or damp conditions.
The bag is insulated with FireLine Core synthetic insulation. Unlike costlier down insulation, it dries much faster and continues to provide warmth even when wet. The bag's polyester rip-stop shell fabric has a PFC-free surface treatment that further helps to repel moisture and protect the insulation. A soft polyester lining provides next-to-skin comfort.
In a traditional sleeping system, the bag lies on top of a sleeping pad. In this configuration, many people find themselves rolling off the pad at night. Not only that, but the insulation on the bottom of the bag is often compressed by the sleeper's weight and once compressed the fill loses most of its insulating properties. The Big Agnes System is different and joins the bag and the pad together. A Flex Pad Sleeve on the bottom of the bag accommodates pads of varying lengths, widths, and thicknesses and ensures that the pad stays beneath you. It also enables the pad to deliver warmth and it allows Big Agnes to save weight and bulk by only lightly insulating the bottom of the bag itself. You'll stay warm and you can roll and move comfortably during the night without ever worrying about slipping off of your pad.
The bag is designed to be used with any two 25" x 78" Big Agnes sleeping pads (sold separately) or a single 50" x 78" pad with an R-value or suggested temperature range to match the bag's 35 degree temperature rating. Other branded pads can also be used.
A double wide insulated ergonomic hood, draft tubes located along the length of the dual anti-snag zippers, and separate no-draft collars for each person combine to lock in heat and keep out cold air to enhance warmth and comfort. Built-in "barns" keep pillows (pillows not included) tucked securely beneath sleepers' heads and roomy footbox provides ample space for feet and toes.
The Big Agnes Sleepy Bear 35 Degree Doublewide fits up to 6' 6" and includes a stuff sack and a storage sack.
