Great Backpacking Tent

We recently used on a 2 person, 4 day trip to Havasupai. Weight is amazing for the size, Love the door double zippers for quickly getting items out of the tent.
Dislikes
Footprint is a must, the tent stuff-sack is thin and tore on our first trip.

Great tent!

I used this tent for the first 140 miles of the Appalachian trail with my wife. The first night I set it up in the dark and pouring rain. It took me about 3 minutes to set up and get the fly over the tent. The tent poles and tent are color coordinated so it makes setup easy. We stayed nice and dry in the tent. At night the temperature dropped to 28 degrees and we woke up to a winter wonderland. There was about 1/2 inch of snow and ice on the tent. The tent held up nicely. This tent is extremely light, 2lbs. 8oz. on my scale with everything to set it up properly. With a lightweight tent comes with extremely delicate materials. This tent is thin. With the snow on top of the rain fly the zipper on the fly got caught in rain flap that covers the zipper. This material is so thin that the zipper ripped the fabric. It happened so easily. This makes me question the durability of this tent for the long haul. I’m not sure why they have that material there. The zipper is over the vestibule. It would’ve been nicer just to have waterproof zippers over the vestibules. The zippers on the tent body work perfectly. You definitely need the ground cover under the tent for the protection. The tents size is perfect for two adults and a little extra gear. We had some beautiful nights where we didn’t use the rain fly at all and the stars where gorgeous. I would recommend this tent if your looking for something lighter and you’re not to hard on your equipment. It does set up Buick and easy. I like the fact that it’s all most free standing. If you’re not happy with the way the tent is facing, you can pick it up and move it.

How easy it may rip from the zipper on the rain fly. For a thru hike durability can be an issue.
