Offering maximum collapsibility and quick deployment while minimizing weight (roughly 10.8 ounces per pair), Black Diamond Distance Carbon Z FKT poles are purpose-built for ultra racing, thru-hiking, or fast-and-light self-supported running adventures.

Description

  • Designed to reduce weight and packed size for fast-paced endeavors: The poles consist of 4 carbon-fiber shaft sections, connected by a concealed inner cord and utilizing a single push-button release. Like tent poles, the shaft sections snap securely into place, resulting in weight savings and increased collapsibility that enables them to take up far less packed space than traditional poles.
  • Ergonomic foam grips: Streamlined EVA foam wrapped grips have an extended length that allows you to change your grip position depending on the steepness of the terrain you're tackling at any given moment.
  • Adaptable tips and baskets enhance versatility: Interchangeable tech tips provide great on-trail "bite" and can be swapped out for included rubber tech tips for improved surfaces or for travel. Both low-profile baskets and larger-diameter snow baskets are included for multi-sport versatility.

What do they weigh and what lengths are available?
While the poles do offer foldable collapsibility, they are not height adjustable. To accommodate varying heights and preferences, Distance Carbon Z FKT poles are available in fixed usable length options in 5 cm increments ranging from 110 cm (43.3") up to 130 cm (51.1") in length.
