Illuminate the trail ahead with the Black Diamond Storm 450, a powerful headlamp that has settings for wide and distance lighting, various night vision modes, and a maximum output of 450 lumens. The small, compact design has a watertight construction to ensure it keeps working even in wet weather and alkaline or rechargeable battery options to make sure you're never left in the dark.

The headlamp's highest setting casts a bright beam over 278 feet! Burn time varies between 5 and 150 hours depending on the settings you utilize. The headlamp's lighting options let you choose between full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming in either mode, strobe, and night vision lights in red, green, and blue. The Brightness Memory feature recalls the last used brightness level, meaning that you can turn the headlamp on and off without having to re-adjust from maximum output. But you can always instantly adjust the brightness back to the maximum output with the PowerTap technology if you find you need a better view of the trail ahead. A digital lock function allows you to prevent the light from accidentally turning on when stowed inside your pack.

The headlamp is powered by three AAA alkaline batteries (included). But with Black Diamond's Dual-Fuel technology, you can also use the rechargeable BD 1500 Li-on battery and charger (both sold separately) for maximum flexibility depending on how connected you plan to be during your outdoor adventures. An integrated battery meter makes it easy to track battery life and adjust as needed throughout your night. An elastic headband adjusts to enhance comfort and ensure that the headlamp remains securely in place while in use. The hinged housing lets you angle the beam as needed for the situation. The housing has an IP67 rating that stands up to dust, dirt, rain, and even the occasional dunking (as long as it's less than 30 minutes at a depth of less than 1 meter).
