A large-capacity pack with a high-performance women's specific suspension system and an array of organizational features, the Deuter Aircontact Pro 65 + 15 SL Women's pack is an excellent option for extended backpacking, or frequent guiding.
The pack's Aircontact Pro back system offers a combination of weight-carrying capability, ventilation, and fit-adjustable comfort. A flexible internal V-frame helps to transfer weight to your hips and reduce strain on your upper torso. Connected directly to the pivoting VariFlex hipbelt, the frame also helps to promote mobility and a full-range of motion. Open cell foam padding on the shoulder straps, the upper backpanel, the lumbar area of the backpanel, and the hipbelt fins helps to enhance comfort and aid in weight distribution. It also helps to enhance air flow to cut down on perspiration. The integrated VariSlide feature enables you to quickly and easily adjust the torso length to comfortably accommodating torsos ranging from 14" to 20". Load lifter straps, an adjustable sternum strap, and fit adjustability on the hipbelt combine to help you properly dial in fit and stabilize the load you're carrying.
The large 65-liter main compartment has top loading access, and, in addition, a large U-shaped front zipper enables to quickly put hands on gear or clothes without having to dump out the entire contents of the pack. A separate, lower compartment is designed to stow your sleeping bag. The top lid is height-adjustable which allows it to work in tandem with the drawstring-adjustable top collar of the packbag to expand storage capacity by an additional 15 liters. A large front pocket further aids in organization and can be removed entirely for use as a lightweight day pack or summit pack.
Other features include a stretch front pocket, stretch side pockets, a zippered lid pocket, an internal valuables pocket, side and bottom compartment compression straps, and ice axe/trekking pole loops. An internal sleeve and drinking tube pass-through make the pack hydration compatible (hydration system not included). Deuter even includes a detachable rain cover to offer protection in challenging conditions.
