We have been using this hiking pack with our daughter for the last year and we LOVE it! It is comfortable for us and our daughter. It has tons of storage, the built in sunshade is great, and the adjustability is wonderful. Overall, it is a very solid and well-made product.

Dislikes

Our only (minor) complaint is the length of the straps and the last of bands to roll up and hold the straps in place. We don't necessarily want to cut the straps and have rigged up a temporary solution that has worked fine. We could probably buy bands to fix the problem but just haven't prioritized it. This is definitely NOT a reason to not buy the bag though!

This is the best child backpack carrier I've seen. I was hesitant to purchase because of the price tag but did anyways. So thankful!!! My son loves this, is comfortable and never seems to be bored up there. Keeping my kiddo happy means more mileage we can accomplish. Love the canopy to keep the sun from bothering him and the plush front pillow that can contour his head when he falls asleep or keep it loose when he's checking the scenery out around him. Love, love the pocket mirror to check on him (brilliant who ever thought of this). Everything adjusts well and keeps little one secure and my weight load distribution perfect. You can easily adjust while on the trail, nice!! A BIG Thank you to Deuter!!

Not much to dislike with this carrier!! Maybe would have put just a tad bit bigger side pouch to accommodate the S10 android but I'm going to get a phone holder for it and just attach to the pack.

The pack performed great on our first 2 mile hike with our 6.5 month old. She actually fell sleep for about 15-20 minutes in it!! She seemed very happy and comfortable the whole time. The built in sun shade was really nice to have too!

All of the micro adjustments on the pack can be a little overwhelming. Honestly, we adjusted the baby’s seat, shoulder straps, etc. but havent touched the adjustments for hip, shoulder, chest for us! I’m sure will get easier the more we use it.

We love the material that the baby rests on. It can be removed for washing and she has fallen asleep in the pack multiple times on day hikes. I appreciate the space it gives between my back and the pack itself. That space allows for good ventilation but not too much space, that could result in balance issues. The mirror is a nice touch and sun shade is worth the upgrade. This pack is comfortable to a point. It doesnt magically carry itself so a 40 lb pack is still what it is but properly adjusted it fits well to my 5ft 7in frame.

It has almost too many ways to adjust the fit. This in itself isn't a bad thing but sometimes I wish I knew just what needs adjusting when my mid back is telling me to make an adjustment. If anything I wish there was a dueter tutorial on what to adjust based on how the pack feels on my back.

Quality Comfort - it fits my body and my husband's easily and comfortably, no neck tension at all! Ease of Use (so easy to figure out)

The price is high so it was hard to “make the leap” but it has absolutely been worth it.

This is the PERFECT carrier for my 6 month son, super lightweight and durable. Can’t rave enough about the storage options and sun shade as well.

The Deuter Kid Comfort Pro is a great carrier for younger children. It has fantastic adjustability for both the wearer and the passenger as well as a handy fold up stand. The ventilated frame also keeps the wearer cool even on long hikes. The many built-in storage pockets is also great for snacks and diaper changing supplies. One of the best things about it is it stores relatively flat which makes it great for chucking in the back of our car for day trips or longer weekend hiking excursions.

Dislikes

The only issue we have with this carrier is it does not come with a full rain cover. There is a built-in hood which does a decent job at keeping the sun out of the child's eyes, but isn't particularly effective for rainy days.

This thing was a champion for our hiking trip. We carried our 26 lb toddler in it for 4 days in Glacier National Park, about 5-7 hours hiking per day. He was super comfortable and loved riding high up and taking in the views. Managed to nap in it for at least an hour each day. The sunshade is brilliant - well worth the extra money. Lots of options to dial in the perfect fit, and once we figured out the harness it was very easy and quick to swap between my husband (6"2) and myself (5"6). It was actually more comfortable to wear the carrier+toddler than to carry the food and water!

Much prefer using this pack over a stroller. No longer need to maneuver through crowded areas while exploring and makes hiking with a toddler a breeze. Directions were straight forward and rides perfectly when set up correctly.

Distributes weight well, keeps as cool as can be expected, comfortable for the babe, kickstand is nice for on trail snack stops, seems very durable, just the right amount of room for storage (anymore and I wouldn’t be able to handle the weight of it and the kid)

An integrated hydration bladder would be a nice touch
