Have carried backcountry camping a couple of times with rain in the forecast, but haven’t had to set up yet.

Quality looks good. Size appears to be sufficient coverage.

This rain fly is easy to pack unpack. Very big; covers A LOT of ground. Very strong material and has held up well to steady rain and wind.
Dislikes
A little big. Would not recommend for light weight hikers.

Too much

I love the quality but it just seemed like it was to much fabric. I'll return for the regular size.

Effective, but larger and heavier than one might expect

Very big; covers A LOT of ground. This will keep you and your extended party dry. It's very big. Did I mention that?

Disclaimer: None of this should have been a surprise, as all of this was disclosed prior, but: -This tarp does not include stakes. Stakes are very handy for getting a tight pitch in arbitrary clearings. -Compared to some similar tarps, it does not have line pockets sewn into the corners to help organize the lines when packing. -It was heavier than anticipated, due to sheer size. (I should have realized this before ordering, but it was my oversight, not a fault of the product.) -I had hoped this might serve as a backup emergency shelter for day hiking, but for me it is too large and heavy for this purpose. Bottom line: I would buy the regular size (non XL) if doing this again.

The ENO ProFly XL rain fly is a great piece of gear to have if you are backpacking with a hammock and want to stay dry

The large size can be a bit of a challenge to locate a spot to setup, but once you get used to the size and how to measure for it, its indispensable. It gives me the ability to setup and shift my hammock to one end giving me enough space at the other to huddle under and cook or just stay out of the rain. The wider wingspan also gives you much more space to keep gear under and keep it dry. Very strong material and has held up well to steady rain and wind.

I really do not have any dislikes for this product but I would say if your an ultra light backpacker this may not be for you. Definitely going to weight more than the regular size and take up more space in the pack.
