Lightweight, packable, and equipped with a 4-season-worthy R-value of 7.0, the tapered Exped DownMat HL Winter inflatable sleeping pad provides backpackers with warmth and comfort for cold-weather forays.
The pad’s I-beam baffles provide a 3.5”-thick supportive base. A warm layer of down insulation is laminated directly to the bottom and top of each baffled air chamber to eliminate cold spots and equip the pad for year-round performance. Tapered shaping helps to save on weight and also enables two of the pads to be situated next to each other for gap-free pairing.
Glues used in sleeping pad construction are often broken down by moisture, but Exped's proprietary fabric lamination process creates air tight baffles and prevents moisture build up in the pad from destroying these glues, resulting in no loss of air over time. The DownMat WinterLite features a single FlatValve for inflation and deflation. Many inflatable sleeping pads fail due to their valve construction, but Exped's FlatValve technology eliminates the stiff edge commonly found around traditional valves. This results in lasting, durable valve construction for the life of the pad. Exped includes a Schnozzel Pumpbag UL that saves you from huffing and puffing during inflation and keeps potentially destructive moisture from finding its way into the interior of the pad.
The Exped DownMat HL Winter sleeping pad is available in Medium (72.1” x 20.5"), Medium/Wide (72.1" x 25.6”), and Long/Wide (77.6" x 25.6") lengths.
