The pad is constructed of molded closed-cell IXPE foam. The egg carton-like form creates a 1.5" thick supportive sleeping base. The pad's 2.2 R-value makes it suitable as a 3-season stand-alone while its lightweight, durable design also makes the pad a great protective barrier beneath inflatable or self-inflating pads and this really shines in winter or colder weather.
The Exped FlexMat Plus closed cell foam sleeping pad is available in Xsmall (51" x 20.5" x 1.5"), Medium (72" x 20.5" x 1.5"), and Long/Wide (77.6" x 25.6" x 1.5") size options.
