Description

The self-inflating Exped MegaMat Duo 10 sleeping pad provides couples with plush camping comfort in any season. Because of its 3.9" thickness and synthetic insulation, the mattress has a year-round worthy R-value of 9.5.

A self-inflating, open cell foam core provides a luxurious sleeping base. When you unroll the mattress and open the inflate valve, the foam responds by soaking up air, similar to a sponge absorbing liquid. Once the mattress has inflated, you can use the Exped Mini Pump (included), your mouth, or other Exped pump accessories (sold separately) to top off inflation for a firm sleeping surface or let some air out through the deflate valve for a softer mattress. A soft tricot top provides slip resistance and next-to-skin comfort. High-frequency welded seams and strong lamination provide reliable durability and 3-D construction creates vertical sidewalls that offer amazing comfort.

Glues used in sleeping pad construction are often broken down by moisture but Exped's proprietary fabric lamination process creates air tight baffles and prevents moisture build up in the pad from destroying these glues resulting in no loss of air over time. Another stand out feature of the pad is flat valve construction. Separate valves for inflation and deflation offer a high volume of air flow in and out of the pad making inflating and deflating the pad fast and easy.

Available in your choice of Medium (72" x 41") and Long/Wide (77.6" x 52") size options, each Exped MegaMat Duo 10 includes a stuff sack.

  • Proven field performance
  • Stretch Tricot surface for maximum comfort
  • Air-core-channeled foam insulation reduces weight and bulk
  • Separate inflation/deflation FlatValves
  • Extra-large deflation valve
  • Medium size fits most mid-size trucks, SUVs and wagons and Long/Wide size fits most full-size trucks and vans
  • MiniPump for top-off inflation
  • Easy-to-pack SideWinder stuff sack included
  • Durable construction and 5-year warranty

Comfortable, quality, durable

Likes

I wanted a self-inflating, quality mattress that could fit two people and I'm so glad I invested in this. It's pricey, but worth it. It's very comfortable and fills the majority of floor space in my Marmot Tungsten 2p. I have just enough empty space at the foot to fit a couple small-ish bags and random items. It's thick enough to where you don't feel anything on the ground, firm enough to give you plenty of support, but also cushiony enough to where it doesn't feel like you're sleeping on a board (I leave just a liiiiittle bit of air out of mine for this reason). When I sleep on this alone, the size fits me perfectly (I'm petite and 5'2") and I can sleep like a starfish. It's a bit snug when shared with someone else, but it's still a very comfortable sleep. I used it during a 35 degree Colorado night and it insulates well from cold ground temps and seems to be incredibly durable so far. Since a sleeping mattress affects your comfort and quality of sleep, I think it's something worth spending money on. I also use this mattress for "slumber parties" in my living room, so it's versatile as well!

Dislikes

The supplied manual pump can take a while when topping off at the end. So that might be a small annoyance at the end of a long, tiresome day. As to be expected, it does take up some room when being transported. For long-term storage, they recommend storing it flat. My bed doesn't allow me to store things underneath of it, so as of right now, it's just an eyesore in my spare bedroom leaning up against a wall.

WOW!!

Likes

It is incredible how supportive and firm this mat is! I had high expectations due to the price, but was preparing for a let down. Nope! I have back, hip and neck issues. Air mattresses leave me in awful pain. This is the best possible travel bed I could ever imagine!

Dislikes

I wish it wasn't recommended to store it flat, I don't have the space for that, but I'm hoping it isn't going to be a big deal keeping it stored in the bag.

Great Mattress

Likes

The user experience of buying the mattress from Enwild was great. They picked up the phone quickly when I called in to ask a question about the mattress and were of great help answering my question. I bought the xped megamat Duo 10 mattress a few weeks ago, and I have used it a couple of times camping overnight and have been pleasantly surprised how good the mattress is. It was expensive but well worth the cost.

Dislikes

XPED mini pump is functional but way to slow to top off the mattress.

turned my prius into a hotel on wheels

Likes

-Fits perfectly (and I mean perfectly) into my gen 2 prius once the backseats are folded down. For car camping, this can't be beat.

Dislikes

-Price is steep, but I got over that quickly once I felt how comfy it was -surface stains easily

Solid

Likes

I got over any sticker shock I may of had about the price after being repeatedly impressed with it. I've never felt the cold from the ground. It can be used softer without turning into a "water bed" too. It is very sturdy. Set up and tear down is simple. The pump works well. It fits easily back into the sack too.

Dislikes

Maybe 'slightly' wider for the price?

Great Sleep!

Likes

- Compact for its size - Easy to inflate/top off with an aftermarket Exped pump sack - Extremely comfortable and warm to sleep on - Packs away into the stuff sack without any fuss - Trouble free use from multiple camping trips - Can use it as a guest bed if needed

Dislikes

The included small hand pump is not ideal. I would suggest getting an Exped pump sack from Enwild to make inflating/topping off the pad easier.

Comfortable and Durable

Easy to setup and pack up. Comfortable to sleep on, especially if you adjust the amount of air depending on the weight of the people. So far no concerns about wear and tear.

Dislikes

A bit expensive, recommend waiting for a sale or 20% off coupon

Better than our Bed!

Likes

I would argue that this product is almost more comfortable than our new king size mattress we bought 2 years ago. I really like that it can hold a lot of air and be really firm. It is about 56" wide, and would sleep my wife and I quite well. However she and my 11 month old son take it over and I sleep on a thermarest on the side. I will say I really wanted to get out into the woods again after becoming a dad, and my wife being able to sleep comfortably and all night was the biggest hurdle to achieving this. This mat more than helped us overcome this. I think we will use this as a guest bed if we ever have guests again. Much nicer than any sleeper sofa. I wish I had this as my main bed when I was in my 20's as I moved a lot and often didn't have a mattress. We bought off Enwild and the discount offered was the best around of any site. Not to mention they had it in stock!

Dislikes

Price$$$$. Its the most expensive sleeping pad out there. Its worth it, but is hard to swallow. Also we have only had 2 nights so far on it so I can't speak for its durability. This is definitely a car camping, base camp mat. Not meant for long hauls.
