Designed to balance traction and maneuverability on rolling terrain, the Fimbulvetr Rangr-X snowshoe has a 28" x 11" frame that employs a hole-punched, molded design to keep you moving confidently even in deep snow.
The ergonomic, asymmetrical frame of the snowshoe helps to promote a natural stride. In being a single molded frame without the need for any separate decking material, the snowshoe is extremely rugged and without the same proneness to wear-and-tear of traditional snowshoes.
While the overall design of the frame provides traction, a stainless steel toe crampon increases "bite" on snow and ice. Fimbulvetr's All Direction Hinge offers flexibility and responsiveness which further enhances overall traction.
Above the crampon and hinge, the Hugin binding keeps your foot properly positioned for optimal performance. The simple lacing system offers a broad range of adjustability to accommodate footwear ranging from sneakers to boots. It confidently secures your foot without applying undue pressure that could otherwise lead to hot spots and irritation. A rear heel strap further locks your foot in place.
Sold in pairs, the Fimbulvetr Rangr-X snowshoe weighs roughly 2.45 pounds per snowshoe. It has a recommended load range of up to 300 pounds.
