With its performance blend of fabrics, the Fjallraven Men's Keb Agile Winter Jacket is a technical top layer that is ideal for cold-weather hiking or backpacking. It's made primarily of a stretchy movement-mirroring softshell fabric with a brushed interior but also has durable reinforcements in key areas to hold up to the wear-and-tear of life on the trail.

Description

Hybrid construction for on-the-go adventures in colder weather: A blend of recycled polyester and elastane offers the exceptional freedom of movement of four-way stretch and the brushed interior provides a touch of lightweight warmth and next-to-skin comfort. Strategically placed G-1000 fabric, a tightly woven blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton, offers water-resistance and abrasion-resistance where it's needed most and can be made almost completely waterproof with the use of Greenland Wax (sold separately).
Additional features enhance fit and functionality: An adjustable hood extends protective coverage and incorporates a wire in the front brim to fend off glare and precipitation while maintaining your field of vision. roomy microfleece-lined hood extends protective coverage as does a longer cut to the back of the jacket. Zippered front pockets offer storage and protect your hands from the elements. Mesh lining in the pockets allows you to open the zippers to create venting.

>Why apply Greenland Wax?

G-1000 is a tough material with a tight weave that provides natural wind-resistance, but by adding Greenland Wax, which is mad for a mixture of beeswax and paraffin, you can greatly increase the wind- and water-resistance as well as durability. Waxing is actually surprisingly easy. Simply use the block of Greenland Wax (sold separately) and apply in long, smooth strokes which leave behind a thin, even layer. Using an iron (or a hairdryer) on low to moderate heat, melt the wax into the fabric again using long, even strokes. The wax melts at between 131-140 degrees Fahrenheit (55-60 degrees Celsius) and anything beyond those temperatures will cause the wax to get too runny. Repeat if and as you feel necessary for greater protection.
