Great Lightweight Pack

I was looking for a pack with a great lightweight/capacity ratio. This pack meets that need. Over the years backpacking with heavy packs and heavy gear, my knees are given me problems. So to continue with this sports for years to come, I needed to do something. This pack gets me one more step closer to lightweight/minimalist backpacking at a reasonable price.

I love the roll-top closure, carrying capacity seems mammoth, crazy comfortable, and highly modular

The outside big blue mash pocket is fantastic, It's big and can really hold a lot of gear.

Nothing really that I didn't like. I do hope that Granite Gear can make a hybrid of the Crown and the Leopard. I love the rounded support frame on the Leopard and all the pockets and lighter materials of the Crown

It's been really great so far. It has everything I need and nothing I don't. I love the huge main pocket and the stretch pockets on the outside. I like the compression strap system too. I especially love the fact that it is super light and surprisingly comfortable.
Dislikes
No hipbelt pockets for my snacks. However you can buy one separately.

Extremely light-weight backpack. It can handle loads up to about 20 pounds very well. Very comfortable. I have used it on two short (2 day) backpacking trips now and really enjoyed it.

There is no hydration bladder pocket. Since the frame is only a thin sheet of plastic it bulges out when you stuff the bag tight. This causes the bag to be a little uncomfortable in the middle of your back. As long as you don't stuff things in too tight then you are good to go.

The product is extremely light and has a huge capacity compared to its weight! It is also able to fit in aircraft overhead compartments and the moisture wicking backpanel is really good. After a full day of hiking and rock scrambling, I couldn't see any sweat stains on the back panel or any tears or abrasions on the outer layer though I scraped it against a few rocks while squeezing through.
Dislikes
The roll top is really troublesome (takes really long to get stuff in and out of the main compartment). The load transferring capabilities of the hip belt seems to be minimal, I could feel that if I put any more stuff in, it would get quite uncomfortable on the shoulder straps.

Light, strong and very comfortable. packed over 30 pounds in it an even fit a bear bin in too. I have slim hips but am tall so the separate hip belt sizing was a plus.

Love this pack! Load transfer was great! Hip belt is amazingly comfortable. I really liked the roll top closure. You can reach the outside stretch pockets while the pack is on. Overall great design and quality. Very comfortable even when loaded to the max.
