Award winning OnePress filtration and purification is globally effective and beyond simple to use: The filter requires zero setup and within 10 seconds of pushing down evenly on the bottle top, the filter removes waterborne pathogens including viruses (e.g. Rotavirus, SARS, Hepatitis A, Norovirus), bacteria (e.g. E. coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery) and Protozoa (e.g. Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Amoebae). Ultra-powdered activated carbon absorbs many chemicals (including PFAS & VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, flavors and odors for fresher tasting water.
Unique one-way silicone valve is drink-mix ready!: A downside to many filters is their incompatibility with electrolytes and drink mixes which can gum up the works, but a one-way valve pre-installed in the filter cartridge eliminates this issue in the UltraPress. By filing from the top side of the bottle, you can also store any potable beverage of your choice in the bottle.
Premium CP4 Grade 1 titanium construction optimizes strength, versatility, and performance: Titanium offers an unparalleled strength-to-weight ratio and, with folding butterfly handles, the outer cup can be used to heat water and cook food alongside hot coals or directly atop a backpacking stove. WARNING: Titanium (including the handles) will burn your hands when hot! Remove from heat or stove tops with caution and use leather heat-safe gloves or other suitable protection. Never directly touch a hot Outer Ti Cup and only use with stoves that have a small platform and level supported base. Bonus points for the cool laser-engraved topographical artwork on the exterior.
Rigorous testing standards confirm filtration and purification effectiveness: The filter has been independently tested by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI protocol 42 and 53 for pathogen and chemical removal and meets the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Guide Standard and Protocol for testing microbiological water purifiers.
Long-lasting, confidence-inspiring shelf life: The cartridge is rated for 300 cycles (40 gallons/150 liters). Once "press time" reaches greater than 25 seconds or three years have elapsed since first use, it is time to replace the cartridge. Stored under proper conditions, an unused and airtight purifier cartridge has a shelf life of 10 years.

How does OnePress filtration work?

Using the filter couldn't be much simpler. Seriously. Grasp the top handle with one hand and the Outer Ti Cup with the other, then pull apart. A quick twist helps to initiate separation. Scoop from a stream or lake or fill from any bathroom sink or rustic hostel tap. Twist the SimpleVent cap a half-turn to allow air to vent during the filtration and purification process. Utilizing your body weight, press with steady downward force and you'll have clean drinking water in 10 seconds. NOTE: Actual "press time" will vary depending on water quality, cartridge lifespan, water temperature, and user ability.

I absolutely love this purifier! It is quite an investment, but I can take it anywhere and use it to drink any water with confidence. Sure, there are less expensive ways to remove viruses, bacteria and microrganisms from water, but this purifier also removes heavy metals, pfas, and pesticides! And when I take it car camping or backpacking, I can also use it to boil water over the camp stove or even an open campfire. It's easy to press the filter down and make clean water in mere seconds, and it's really nice to be able to add powdered drink mixes right into the bottle too. I haven't had to try out the 10-year warranty yet, but it's super nice to know that any future problems are covered by Grayl!
