Description

Capable of far more than its lightweight design would suggest, the Gregory Maya 22 Women's day pack has an innovative suspension system, offers over 1300 cubic inches of storage capacity, and provides organizational features to properly support long day hikes.

Gregory incorporates gender-specific contoured shoulder harnesses, narrower backpanels, and pre-curved hipbelts into its series of women's packs. These packs are designed and tested by women to ensure that their performance meets the expectations of female adventurers.

The pack utilizes Gregory's unique BioSync active suspension. The shoulder harness and hip belt are connected to the pack body by overlapping, flexible "tendons" that enable the pack to adjust to your body's motion during high-aerobic activities. The length of the harness can even be adjusted to comfortably fit torsos varying in length from 14"-19". A 3D open-air backpanel encourages airflow while moisture-wicking aero-mesh in the harness and backpanel cool your body. Side compression straps enable you to safely cinch down the packbag to keep contents secure. An adjustable sternum strap enhances fit and load stability.

The panel-loading zippered main compartment opens wide for maximum access. A top zippered pocket has a soft lining to help protect electronics or other items and an integrated clip keeps you keys safely stowed. A front stretch pocket is ideal for discarded layers and there are also small zippered hipbelt pockets.

Other features included a quick-stow system on the harness that keeps sunglasses in close reach, side stretch pockets, and trekking pole attachment points. A lined interior pocket, with an internal hanger, and a drinking tube pass-through make the pack hydration system compatible (hydration system sold separately).

The Gregory Maya 22 Women's day pack is available in your choice of color options.

Sizing difficulty

Likes

Bought the Maya 22 planning to use it primarily for the Inca Trail and then day hiking. I Liked how light weight it was and that it had a separate compartment for a water bladder. The biggest draw was the fact I can fit my iphone 10 in the waist pocket with no problem!!

Dislikes

The Sizing for the torso is very different between the sizes of the Maya. I'm an XS usually - 14.5 inch torso, and the 22 was just too big despite trying to adjust it - I could not get it to fit comfortably and rest on my shoulders at all with it in the smallest position. The 16 however was great and I ended up returning the 22 and buying the 16 for the trail which was perfect. My biggest complaint about this Maya bag is that I find storing trekking poles frustrating - I wish it had two the synch straps on both top and bottom - the bottom seems more geared for an ice pick than trekking poles. I'm planning to do a custom fix because the bag is an otherwise perfect day pack!. It would be nice if it came with a rain cover .
