Description

Available in an array of sizes and fitting easily and comfortably over a broad range of shoes and boots, the Hillsound Trail Crampon delivers reliable traction for diverse winter terrain and varying weather conditions.

The Trail Crampon traction device offers easy "slip on" fit for footwear ranging from casual shoes, to sneakers, to boots. A TPR and elastomer harness is flexible and durable and a nylon strap runs over the forefoot so further dial in fit. Stainless steel connection chains provide reliable durability and eleven heat-treated S50C carbon steel alloy spikes ensure confident traction on snow and ice regardless of conditions. A midfoot flex-hinge helps to maintain a natural stride pattern while enhancing grip.

Sold in pairs, the Hillsound Trail Crampon traction device is available in your choice of size and color options.

When gearing up for winter hikes, this Trail Crampon is an item that I never want to leave behind. Winter conditions- ice, snowpack, etc- can change quickly, so having additional traction and confidence in all conditions is essential. These spikes offer excellent traction in packed snow and are aggressive enough for ice. I really prefer this model because of the Velcro strap, which helps hold the cleats in place and prevents any chance of them moving around. They even fit well on my various footwear, from heavily insulated winter boots to lightweight trail runners.

Fabulous!

I took the time to ensure I ordered the right size and the medium Hillsound crampons fit perfectly with my Altra Lone Peak boots. Went for a test walk in the local woods and I felt like I had grown claws that kept me from slipping! Didn't feel awkward wearing them at all.

Awesome piece of gear that is needed on ADK and Catskills hikes.

Great traction device

Excellent on ice and light snow. True to size as well,size 13 boots were a perfect fit in XL.

Ice balling in deeper snow,but I can't fault them for it because these style crampons have their limitations.

Southern CA, will be used for Baldy, San Jac and Old Grey Back, San Gregorio, the tallest mountain in Southern CA.

In comparison with Kahtoola microspikes the Hillsound crampons teeth have a greater depth and its wider base tapers to sharp v points which gives the wearer greater secure traction on ice and snow

Fits boots well - sized appropriately, velcro strap secures crampon to boot maintaining placement, grips ice securely with no slippage, polyester storage bag is a nice bonus
