By combining maximal running shoe-style cushioning, a high-cut, supportive upper, and a fully waterproof membrane, the innovative Hoka One One Men’s Tor Ultra Hi WP is an ultra-lightweight (2 lb, 2 oz per pair) boot that is sure to appeal to thru-hikers and ounce-counting backpackers.

Description

By combining maximal running shoe-style cushioning a high-cut supportive upper and a fully waterproof membrane the innovative Hoka One One Men's Tor Ultra Hi WP is an ultra-lightweight (2 lb 2 oz per pair) boot that is sure to appeal to thru-hikers and ounce-counting backpackers.

The boot's upper is a hybrid mix of full-grain leather and synthetic textile resulting in a balance of support breathability and durability. It also allows the Tor Ultra Hi WP to break in much faster than a traditional all-leather boot. A waterproof/breathable eVent membrane ensures that your feet stay dry and comfortable. A protective toe cap stands guard against rocks and roots.

A high-volume full-length EVA and RMAT midsole delivers plush cushioning that holds up even after day after day of long miles. An Active Foot Frame enables your foot to settle into rather than sitting on top of that midsole providing support and stability without excessive weight or over-engineered structure. A rockered geometry encourages an efficient rolling stride.

The durable Vibram MegaGrip outsole employs 5mm lugs to promote traction on all types of terrain.

The Hoka One One Men's Tor Ultra Hi WP hiking boot is available in men's full and half sizes and your choice of color options.

  • Full-grain leather and textile upper
  • Molded upper collar
  • eVent waterproof membrane with full bootie construction
  • Lace-to-toe with forefoot Flex Grooves
  • Protective rubber toecap
  • Late stage Meta-Rocker geometry
  • Active Foot Frame

Awesome Boots/Running Shoes

Likes

Waterproof, ankle support, warmth at 0 degrees, allows me to run on snow,

Dislikes

Heavy for running shoes, I have to heel strike when running

Not my favorite Hoka One One hiking shoe

Likes

-Comfortable -Nice cushioning

Dislikes

I actually found the Hoka One One Speedgoat trail running shoes more comfortable to hike in, while weighing much less and still having a similar level of underfoot support and cushioning. If you don't need the ankle support of a high-cut boot like this one, I'd highly recommend the low cut Hoka One One Speedgoat instead.

Excellant long distance walking shoe

Likes

This hiking boot is very comfortable, lighter than most and seems somewhat waterproof though I've only tested it on wet dewy grass. I liked it so much I bought a second pair because I walk 9-12 miles a day reading meters and it is the first shoe I've worn that helps relieve the neuropathy pain I experience in my feet.

Dislikes

It seems a bit pricey but it didn't stop me from buying a second pair.

Best Hiking Boot I’ve Ever Worn

Likes

-Very Light Weight -Ultimate Cushioning -Great Traction -Feels like a Running Shoe

Dislikes

-Fit slightly larger than my Hoka running shoes, however, made up for it with thicker socks

light but they give me a hot spot

Likes

Super lightweight and comfortable in short distances.

Dislikes

When I hike over 5 miles these boots give me a blister on the side of my foot(where a bunion would be). It's odd an unfortunate because they are great on short distances. I have some Merrill phaser peaks and they do not do this.
