LOVE THIS BOOT

Learned about Hoka One One through reviews by Outdoor Gear Lab. Bought a prior model (used) for my growing son and well pleased. These are amazingly comfortable yet still supportive. Like the generous toe room better than the Salomon GTX 4D. Also, I think the eVent membrane is top in class and beats GoreTex. My feet feel like they breathe so much better and don't overheat. Bought 3 new pair for my 2 sons and I going to Philmont next year. Great!

Work well for me!

These are my second pair of Hoka hiking boots. The first pair served me well on a 220 mile Camino. But the tred was poor -- slippery. On this version, the soles are Vibram and provide much better grip. So glad I decided to get another pair.

They look huge on my feet -- but then my feet are pretty huge.

Most comfortable boot i've owned

Unbelievable comfort when hiking, I own their running shoes, and that comfort is replicated here. I hiked in about 50 degree weather with wool socks, and I didn't find them uncomfortably hot in that scenario, water proofing was good as I trudged through mud, I did not do any river crossings, so I can't speak to that level. The sole is wide and gives sure footing, didn't feel any loss of agility when traversing rock inclines.

Tall boot chaffed my calf a bit.

Comfortable shoe

These boots are very comfortable and light weight. Plenty of room in the toe box compared to other brands. The sole is substantial with a wide heal so stability should be good. Looking forward to using them on the trail.
