With midsole volume and deep EVA midsole cushioning that far exceeds most standard running shoes, all Hokas provide enhanced cushioning and shock absorption. While visually this may look bulky, the performance-enhancing cushioning is actually extremely lightweight. Additionally, a rockered geometry with a low heel-to-toe differential encourages an efficient rolling stride.
The shoe's recycled engineered mesh upper offers both comfort and enhanced breathability while keeping weight to a minimum. Even the shoe's polyester laces utilize recycled materials. A rand protects your toes from the impact of rocks and roots.
The plush compression molded EVA foam midsole pairs with a molded EVA sockliner to provide maximum cushioning and enhanced fit. A Vibram MegaGrip rubber outsole offers excellent durability and utilizes multi-directional 5mm lugs and a trail-specific tread to deliver reliable traction on varied terrain.
With a 33mm heel and a 29mm forefoot, the shoe has a minimal 4mm drop. It weighs in at an average of 10.3 ounces per shoe (20.6 oz/pair).
