Description

Starting with the same proven, efficient technology for which Jetboil is known, the MiniMo personal cooking system incorporates a valve design that grants it adjustable simmer control for optimal versatility for backcountry mealtimes.

The MiniMo's 1-liter insulated and hard-anodized aluminum cooking cup connects directly to the high-performance burner via Jetboil's FluxRing design, ensuring that less heat is lost during the cooking process. The broad base of the burner also enhances cooking and improves the overall stability of the MiniMo. A built-in windscreen allows the MiniMo to function effectively even under less than perfect conditions. A simple-to-use push-button igniter makes lighting the burner and operating the MiniMo quick and easy.

A neoprene lining encases the cooking cup, keeping food and beverages warm long after heating. A sip-through lid further helps insulate the contents of the cooking cup and prohibits spills. The unique 4.9" x 6" dimensions of the cooking cup provide hikers and backpackers with a more user-friendly angle for utensils making it more convenient to eat from than standard tall, but narrow cook pots. The protective plastic bottom of the cup can be removed for use as a small bowl or measuring device.

Compact and lightweight, the entire MiniMo cooking system can be stowed inside the cooking cup, reducing the entire 14.6 ounce MiniMo to a 5" x 6" packed size. You can customize and expand the use and functionality of your MiniMo with additional cooking cups, a coffee press, or any of many other Jetboil accessories (sold separately). A pot support is included for compatibility with other backpacking cookware.

The MiniMo requires the use of a Jetpower Fuel canister (sold separately). Each 100g canister of Jetpower Fuel allows the MiniMo to boil 12 liters of water. Burn time for a half a liter of water is 2 minutes, 15 seconds. A folding fuel stabilizer stand is included to improve the stability of the system on uneven ground. Fuel canisters stow conveniently with the stove inside the cooking cup.

The Jetboil MiniMo personal cooking system is available in your choice of colorful patterns.

  • 1.0 Liter FluxRing cooking cup with insulating cozy

  • Pot support and fuel canister stabilizer included

Likes

- Well made and durable. - Easy to eat from it's shorter pot. - Excellent simmer control provides true ability to cook in the backcountry. - Included stand provides plenty of stability. - Works with (Grande) Jetboil coffee press

Dislikes

- It's not your best option if you just want to boil water since it's bigger and heavier than other canister systems, although not by a lot. -The cozy isn't removable for cleaning.- Expensive. (So buy it on sale)

Perfect Pot

Likes

Not too deep, makes it easy to eat out of if you want to. Boil water a little faster than the deeper narrower Jet Boils because there is more heat surface contact with the water at the bottom. I love the regulator. It makes controlling the flame easy. It comes with the attachment to cook with a frying pan if you need to cook up something (like that trout you just caught up at the high lakes while backpacking in the Colorado wilderness) or you can use the pot and quickly boil some water for your freeze dried meal. Not too large and great for backpacking. Self lighter, don’t need matches or a flint. It works great. Buy it, you’ll be glad you did.

Dislikes

A little tricky to store the stove and a 100g fuel canister inside the pot but that’s okay. I like to take the 230g canisters anyway. It’s cheaper and takes less room and weighs less than two 100g canisters. A 230g canister will fit nicely in the pot without the stove inside the pot. So I guess really, there is not much to dislike about the Jetboil MiniMo.

We love our Minimo thus far. So convenient, lightweight, and a breeze to operate. My only regret is that I didn't buy a JetBoil waaayy sooner!

Great stove

Likes

The weight to power balance is good, everything packs down small and compact. A wider pot makes eating with a spoon easier

Dislikes

not the most lightweight stove set on the market

Great Product- One Flaw

Likes

Boils water insanely fast. Also extremely portable and lightweight.

Dislikes

the anodized aluminum is fragile and has already started to deteriorate so that exposed aluminum shows after just a few uses. This is likely due to me packing the fuel tank and stovetop inside of the canister, but for ultralight applications, that is the only option, and also seems to be how it's supposed to be packed.

Everything I thought it would be

Likes

Compact (but not too compact). I got the Sierra desert design (I think that's what it's called) and I really dig it. Perfect for camping and overnight hikes.

Dislikes

The micro moo might be better for multi-day backpacking, but this will still work very well.
