Kelty Grand Mesa 2 3-Season Backpacking Tent

Priced to appeal to cost-conscious backpackers and campers, the two-person Kelty Grand Mesa 2 provides excellent value and performance for 3-season use. Foregoing some of the bells and whistles of higher-priced tents, the tent offers solid construction, ease of set-up, and functional design at an affordable price.

Measuring 85” x 57” at its widest point and tapering to 44” wide at the feet, the tent provides 30 square feet of interior space. A vestibule in front of the large single door offers 6 square feet of additional exterior space for stowing gear and muddy boots.

Two lightweight aluminum poles provide freestanding structure and long-term durability. Pockets at each corner of the tent keep one end of the pole secure as you move around to insert the other end. These “Quick Corners” prevent the common problem of tensioned tent poles jumping out of grommets as soon as you walk away. They combine with integrated clips on the tent to make pitching the tent a breeze.

Ample mesh on the tent body provides excellent ventilation for combating condensation build-up and keeping you cool during warm weather. The durable 68D PU-coated polyester floor and rainfly protect the tent from wind and rain. Fully taped seams further ensure weather protection. The optional custom-fit Grand Mesa 2 Footprint (sold separately) further protects the floor of the tent against ground water, roots, and rocks.
