Description

Designed for 3-season use, the versatile Kelty Tuck 20 Degree sleeping bag takes outdoor sleeping comfort to the next level with a relaxed mummy cut and an innovative zipper system that provides easy temperature regulation.

The bag is insulated with Kelty’s ThermaPro Ultra synthetic insulation, which is specially engineered to retain warmth and provide superior packability compared to other synthetic insulation blends on the market. It is easy to care for and maintains its high loft, softness and insulating properties over time. Unlike down, this fill retains most of its insulating capabilities even when wet, making the bag a good choice for overnight adventures in dry or wet conditions.

Two-layer offset quilt construction eliminates cold spots and helps to keep outside air from reaching the bag’s interior. The zipper configuration is what lends the Tuck bag its name. A 2-way locking zipper which doubles back across the front of the bag allows the user unzip just the bottom portion of the bag to expose one or both feet, making custom temperature regular possible. This is an excellent feature for anyone who tend to get hot while sleeping. An anti-snag draft tube behind the zipper means that you can easily utilize the system without worries about a stuck zipper. An insulated top draft collar and an insulated contoured hood enhance warmth and comfort. A spacious footbox and a relaxed mummy cut provide extra room comparative to traditional mummy bags.

The Kelty Tuck 20 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (up to 6'6") lengths. A stuff sack is included.

Not Bad

I really like the zipper by the feet because my feet gets hot during the night. I slept with Thermarest scout pad with Mr. Buddy heater and it kept me warm.

Dislikes

I felt little bit too tight inside the bag. It could be because I move too much while I'm sleeping.

Great Bag Good Size And Comfort

Great bag good size and comfort. This can be used as a backpacking sleeping bag or a car camping bag. Comfortable against the skin and good weight. Kept me nice and warm on 3 day camping trip in the rain and mist. Most nights i had to vent it which is very easy with this style due to the toe box zipper and the side style zipper. Hood kept my outdoor vitals blow up pillow in place while sleeping so it didn't slide around on me.

Dislikes

Would like to have seen a zipper liner sewn into help the zipper not get caught when trying to zip up. Once you get to the arms it gets a little hard to zip up when inside as it catches easy. Wish Kelty would put the specs on this to say if its has a DWR coding in rain etc. I didn't have any issues with rain as the Kelty Night Owl 4p tent kept us dry but want to know in emergency if water would bead off or soak in.

Cozy for a Tall Lady

This bag is roomy enough for a side sleeper, and long enough for me at 5'9". I haven't tested it up to 20 degrees yet but can verify it is very toasty in cool weather, and the foot vent is genius for venting heat in the middle of the night. My favorite thing is probably how silky soft the fabric is.

Dislikes

Sometimes the zipper gets caught in the fabric, but I think that's any bag. I do find the leg area to be a bit restricting because I sleep with a pillow between my knees, but I can easily pull my knees up into the wider area of the bag for more roominess.
