Utilizing ultra-lightweight carbon construction and employing innovative grips and snow baskets, Komperdell Carbon C2 Ultralight trekking poles are well-equipped for top-of-the-mountain and year-round performance.
The poles feature Komperdell's TAC 280 light foam grips. These soft, textured grips offer non-slip performance even in icy conditions and cold weather. The grips extend farther down the upper shaft than average grips, allowing you to change the position of your hands without having to manually adjust the length of the pole every time you encounter a steep slope. Integrated, adjustable straps reduce strain on your wrists.
The Powerlock 3.0 external locking mechanisms are lightweight, highly durable, and easy to operate. Simply push open the locking tab, adjust the poles to your preferred length (43.3"-55.1") and snap the tab back into place. NOTE that the collapsed length of the 2-section poles is 38.6".
The poles are equipped for alpine and winter use with a unique basket/tip construction that allows the basket to adjust for slopes and varied terrain. The tungsten/carbide flex tips are designed to flex if the tip of the pole should get stuck, helping to protect the shafts from structural damage.
