Description

Designed specifically for mountain running and trail racing, carbon-fiber LEKI Vertical K poles employ performance straps and extended length grips but still weigh in at less than 10 ounces per pair!

Streamlined cork component grips employ LEKI’s Trigger Shark Active straps to deliver a connection point between your hands and the poles. This provides ergonomic performance, enhances agility, and effectively transfers power while in use. A security release system enables you to quickly connect and disconnect from the poles to change your grip position. If you prefer, you can remove the straps entirely and use the poles without them. An extended section of grip that extends down the pole shafts eliminates the need to shorten the length of the poles every time you encounter a steep slope or side hill traverse.

Integrated concave tips keep weight to a minimum while providing excellent traction. The housing of the tips also shaves ounces while delivering optimized swing weight.

Sold in pairs, LEKI Vertical K poles are available in 120 cm, 125 cm, 130 cm, 135 cm and 140 cm fixed lengths to accommodate trail runners of varying heights.

  • Fixed length pole
  • Carbon fiber construction
  • Shark 2.0/Active Grip and strap
  • Trail tips

Fantastic trail running poles.

Likes

First please be aware that these are non-collapsible and are fixed length. For those of us who never stow our poles, this is no problem at all but it could very well be a deal breaker if you do. Anyway, the major selling point of these is the weight. Both poles combined weigh less than some single aluminum poles. Also the directional tip can't get misaligned because, due to them being non-collapsible, there are no joints where things can rotate. Overall I'm extremely happy and ended up buying a second pair to have in case anything happens to them.

Dislikes

The directional tips are sharp and can cut and/or scrape your legs if you're not used to using them or if you fall while using them.

Absolute steal at the price

Likes

Extremely lightweight. Seem to be just as good as any other Leki pole I've used (i.e. very good). Last year's model, so definitely worth the closeout price. Nice color scheme, not nearly as loud as other Leki sets.

Dislikes

Embarrassingly didn't realize this pre-purchase, but these poles do not fold up. Makes transporting a bit more cumbersome, but I usually don't collapse z-poles mid run either. Not necessarily a dislike, but these have pointed tips which aren't the best if you run on very rocky surfaces.

Nice poles

Likes

Very Light, i have plenty of poles but never had anything that Light .grips are a1

Dislikes

The tip is the previous generation from Leki so pointy and slippery on rocks or hard surface. They also break very easily and eventually break the END of the poles. Every trail runner i know and me inclusively had to get back to Leki for Them to Exchange under warranty for New gen Carbide.
