A highly versatile layering piece the Marmot Alpha 60 Vest has a lightweight layer of innovative synthetic insulation and a breathable weather-resistant exterior that makes it suitable for a wide-array of outdoor activities. It can also double as a toasty-warm midlayer.
The jacket utilizes highly-breathable Pertex Quantum Air nylon stretch fabric. It's not waterproof but it is highly water-resistant it moves with you while you're engaged in aerobic activities and it delivers the breathability needed when you're working hand in the backcountry. Inside the jacket Polartec Alpha insulation adds a touch of warmth without being excessive and it too offers breathability to help dump heat when you're exerting energy. An integrated hood further extends protective coverage.
Other features include zippered handwarmer pockets and a zippered chest pocket.
