Marmot Bolt UL 3P 3-Season Backpacking Tent

The Bolt UL 3P tent balances space and weight for ounce-counting backpackers. This semi-free-standing tent provides space for 3 adventurers but has a minimum weight of just over 3 pounds.

Measuring 88” x 66” (at its widest point at the shoulders), the tent provides you with 38 square feet of internal space. A single large D-shaped door grants easy access to the interior and a front vestibule provides a streamlined 12.5 square feet of external storage space. The peak height of the tent is a comfortable 43”. Internal storage pockets store items safely off of the floor. An integrated Lampshade Pocket stows your headlamp and converts it for use as an ambient lantern (headlamp not included).

The tent is supported by pre-bent DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles that help to create more verticality in the sidewalls than many lightweight tents so you can enjoy enhanced livability. NOTE that the tent is semi-freestanding and is best pitched with the use of the included stakes. The poles, clips, and the rainfly are color-coded to make setup easy and straightforward. The walls of the tent are primarily lightweight 15D nylon No-See-Um mesh that saves weight, promotes ventilation, and banishes bugs. A 20D polyester floor balances weight and durability. A catenary cut and seam-taping help to ensure that the interior stays dry.

A full coverage 20D polyester ripstop rainfly is seam-taped and further protected by a Sil/PU waterproof treatment. This design also prevents sagging if and when wet. Integrated vents help to promote air circulation to cut down on condensation. The custom-fit Bolt UL 3P Footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect against rocks, roots, and ground water and extend the life of the tent floor.
