But the Mount to Coast Men's H1 truly manages to deliver comfortable, responsive performance on improved surfaces or on dirt. Supercritical foam and uniquely fine-tunable lacing enhance the shoe's all-day comfort.

Description

Performance upper offers amazing strength-to-weight with built-in breathability: The shoe's jacquard upper is crafted from a woven fabric that is reinforced with aramid fibers that are stronger than steel. The fabric is exceptionally light and is perforated to maximize airflow to keep your foot cool. A unique dual lacing system features traditional lacing across the midfoot and a cinch cord at the forefoot so you can make independent on-the-fly adjustments to ensure a precision fit and account for swelling during long exertions.
Go-the-distance underfoot support and comfort: A supercritical foam midsole delivers softens impact and provides reliable energy return throughout the lifespan of the shoe. With a focus on sustainability, the midsole repurposes organic waste and residual biomass and puts it to use to enhance your running experience.
Dependable traction on pavement, gravel, or hard-packed trails: The shoe's proprietary VersaGrip rubber outsole is ready made for mixed terrain so you can run from your door to the trails and back home again with seamless transition.

What about sizing?

Sold in pairs, the Men's H1 running shoe is available in a standard width and men's full and half sizes. With a 35mm heel and a 29mm forefoot, the shoe has a moderate 6mm drop.

I can get from my door to trails in about half a mile but also have bike paths and extended stretches of gravel road that make up my standard routes and the H1 is one of the best tools I’ve found for transitioning from one surface to the other without breaking stride or wishing I had a different pair of shoes to switch into. Having the ability to lace tight at the midfoot and keep things looser at the forefoot because of the shoe’s dual lacing system keeps my feet happy and the fit of the shoes precise.
