Offering lightweight warmth and weather protection the Mountain Equipment Men's Kinesis Jacket is a versatile option for climbing mountaineering hiking or backpacking. It has a wind- and weather-resistant exterior and a cozy fleece interior.

The exterior of the jacket is 30D nylon with mechanical stretch. It has excellent wind-resistance while still being highly breathable. A unique warp-knit Octayarn lining provides the insulation breathability and comfort of a fleece top. There is also a fully adjustable hood and because of the jacket's offset full-length front zipper a tall collar extends high over your chin with the zipper comfortably set to one side.

Other features include articulated pre-shaped sleeves adjustable cuffs a drawcord-adjustable hem a two-way front zip design two zippered hand pockets and a zippered chest pocket. When not being worn the jacket stuffs neatly inside one of the pockets for safe compressed storage in your pack.

Available in your choice of size and color options the Mountain Equipment Men's Kinesis Jacket has an active fit that is best worn over baselayers or low-profile midlayers.

Excellent mid layer/shell

I’ve worn this in cool, fairly low aerobic situations and really enjoy it. I do prefer highly breathable insulation (100 weight or lighter) without wind resistance for high output, cold weather exercise. This jacket is warm enough for a light layer, blocks a fair amount of wind and doesn’t feel stuffy. I look forward to using it more in spring conditions. The three pocket setup is perfect. The hood rocks and I appreciate the offset zipper

Dislikes

The neck is a little baggy in front. Slightly more form fitting would increase the perceived warmth.

Let me just say that I'm already a big fan of ME gear. Good quality gear made of great materials all while being reasonably priced (when on sale). This piece is no exception. Some particular likes; offset zipper, two way zip, button button.
