Versatile and expandable, the Mountainsmith Apex 25 day pack comfortably carries everything you need for an easy day of hiking while still offering the capacity to support gear-heavy summit attempts and technical hiking.
The pack's robust suspension uses a spring steel perimeter frame and a 1mm frame board to support loads of up to 30 pounds. The molded EVA foam backpanel and lumbar pads are separated to create an open air channel on your back for maximum airflow. The pads also have molded channels to enhance overall breathability. Fit is adjustable to accommodate torsos ranging from 19"-21" in length. Dual-density adjustable shoulder straps, load-lifter straps, and an adjustable sternum strap further dial in fit and comfort. The winged waistbelt helps to support the pack's weight and load transfer if you're using it near capacity, but there are locking clips on either side to remove it when not in use.
The panel-loading pack offers over 1500 cubic inches of storage. Inside the main packbag is a zippered mesh organizer pocket and a sleeve for a hydration reservoir (sold separately). There's also a hanger for the reservoir and dual exit ports for the drinking hose. A large front pocket provides additional storage and organizational features. The pack's unique lay-flat expansion pockets add up to 4 liters (about 244 cubic inches) of external storage. Placed on either side of the pack's exterior, the pockets have stretch mesh on the sides and elastic webbing on the inside to help secure a water bottle or other gear you need easily accessible.
Other options for storage include daisy chain attachments running vertically down the center of the pack, bungee loop and clip, and tool loop. There's also a small, zippered pocket on the top lined with micro-fleece for a phone or sunglasses.
The Mountainsmith Apex 25 day pack is available in your choice of color options.
