Description

With dual doors, a roomy interior of 35 square feet and watertight construction, the Mountainsmith Morrison 2  tent is an excellent choice for 3-season camping. Easy to set up and boasting additional features like reflective guylines, ventilation fly windows and internal mesh storage pockets, the Morrison 2 delivers excellent value at a budget-friendly price.

Weighing 4 pounds 13 ounces, the Morrison 2 offers 35 square feet of usable interior space. Dual vestibules combine to provide additional sheltered space in front of the Morrison 2's doors. This space is ideal for storing gear or wet, muddy boots.

Clip construction makes it easy to connect the fabric body of the Morrison 2 to the 7000 series aluminum alloy poles. Mountainsmith further ensures watertight performance with fully taped, bathtub floor construction. Mesh construction in the walls of the tent body reduces condensation and fly ventilation windows offers better breathability. Reflective guylines provide visibility for those times when you need to set up after dark.

Great for Scout

Roomy for two teenage girls for Scouts BSA camping. Well built, has lasted several campouts already. Given previous experience with Mountainsmith, I expect my daughter will be passing this gear down to her brother.

When I first set it up the tent my grandkids were here and they must have went in and out of it - no kidding - at least 200 times. So I know the zippers are well constructed. Wrestled around in it, over it, doors on boths sides, so through it and it endured well. Wife and I are a little older so at night the way the doors on each side open wide it's easy to get in and out and not have to crawl over each other.

Dislikes

Nothing so far.

The tent was easy to set up and the color had an awesome glow to it. Just got back from the porcupine mountains and put it to the test. When fully staked out, it easily handled 30-40 mph winds, and that was on a fairly exposed escarpment. It also did well on the shores of Lake Superior during a mid October phantom storm. Plenty of room for myself and girlfriend. I'm 6'2 210 and she's 5'11 135. We had no issues with space inside. Get the footprint, if for nothing else as a moisture barrier. Plus, it can go ultra light with the footprint and fly.

Dislikes

The vestibules are small, however after we removed the essentials there was room for both of our packs under one. So, it's a minor gripe. Stake it properly to get the most out of their smaller space. (Which you should anyways) not the lightest, but not back breaking either.

Great tent for the money and well built, I especially like the two side access.

Dislikes

I wish it included a footprint but have used several times without and no problems.

This tent is good size two of me would be tight but doable (i'm 5'11" and 210lbs). It is a great value for the size, quality, and features. First setup was quick 5-10 minutes!!! I am very pleased with the service from Backcountryedge. I will definitely use them in the future

This is large for a two man tent with extra length for head and feet. It is sturdy and stable and easy to set up right out of the box. Kept us perfectly dry over one very rainy night with just a minimal amount of condensation. Great tent so far!

Lightweight for the size and money and very roomy, a true 2-man tent. Packs down very small as well, was very surprised to see that for a tent of it's size. The doors are huge and the bathtub floor works very well, very secure. I love the innovative gear loft and the fact that it comes with a few things I would have wanted to upgrade. Like triangular stakes and reflective guy lines. Beautiful shelter!

Dislikes

Only two guy lines. Haven't had it in strong winds yet so I don't know if that will be a problem. Other than that it's a great tent.

i am 6' tall and i find this tent to be plenty long. i weigh only about 170 lbs and the width is also very comfortable. there is plenty of space to sit up in as well. the stuff sack that comes with it is an appropriate size to fit the tent plus the steaks. the first night i spent in it it rained hard and there was a little bit of wind. the wind never made its way in but the vents in the canopy made it possible for some extra ventilation which was nice.

Dislikes

the steaks are a little on the flimsy side and the vestibules seam a little smaller than what i had expected but there are two of them which is a plus.
