Been using these strapettes on my Day for a long time, bike commuting and hiking. Purchased a couple of Mountainsmith Tours recently and had to get these strapettes for them. Design has been slightly modified and improved where the straps cross on the back. Highly recommend.

I purchased these along with the Tour 2020 pack as a gift for my dad! They are basically lumbar pack suspenders. If he is going for a light hike then he does not need to use the strapettes. However, once the load goes above 10 lbs or so, or if he is carrying a lot of water on an all-day hike, then the strapettes get put on. He says they make the load much more comfortable. He loves this system because it prevents his back from sweating as much as it would if he was wearing a normal backpack! They stow nicely in the pack without taking up much room or putting on much weight so he can always bring them just in case he needs them. They are quite handy to have with the Tour.

Nothing but It would be cool if they made strapettes in colors that matched the packs
