The MSR Carbon Reflex 2 tent weighs about two pounds, making it one of the lightest double-wall tents available for 2 people. High-tech carbon poles and lightweight materials mean this tent won’t weigh you down.
This tent measures 84” x 50” and has 43 cubic feet of interior living space. Two vestibules each cover 7 square feet. To save weight, the vestibule is zipper-free technology, instead utilizing hook-and-loop strips and a metal clasp to keep the fly tight.
The walls of the tent have 10 denier polyester micromesh to provide lightweight protection from bugs while allowing air to circulate. Mesh pockets are available for storing keys and phones. The floor is a sturdy 15 denier ripstop nylon with a very durable DWR coating to keep you dry. The tent is further protected by an ultra-lightweight 7 denier ripstop nylon rainfly coated with a DWR treatment.
To further save weight, the tent is supported by two Easton carbon poles. These poles are flexible but have a strength-to-weight ratio greater than steel.
The MSR Universal 2 Person-Regular Footprint (sold separately) fits the Carbon Reflex 2 and can further protect the tent from wet ground, roots and rocks.
