Reflecting NEMO's commitment to sustainability, the recycling of materials from the production of their sleeping pads eliminates waste and lessens the brand's overall manufacturing footprint. Interestingly, the reprocessing of the foam scraps actually changes the properties of the foam, making it even more resilient than virgin materials, so it holds up extremely well to life on the trail, at festivals, or in the bleachers for sporting events. The process also grants each Chipper Seat its own unique look and color combination. The seat's in-use dimensions are 16.5" x 12.5", and it folds up like an accordion into a compact 12.5" x 4" x 2.5" packed size.
