Description

Utilizing self-inflating, open cell foam, the NEMO Roamer sleeping pad provides maximum camping comfort with a packed size far smaller than most of its bulky competitors. It utilizes highly durable 75D fabrics to help it hold up well to repeated use.

This is a self-inflating open-cell foam pad so you can open the value and let it inflate while you attend to other tasks. The insulative nature of the foam and the thickness of the pad mean that it can handle deep winter temperatures. Dual-axis coring and 50 denier stretch fabric recall the comfort of your mattress at home. A level side-to-side sleeping surface means you won’t end up sunk in the middle.

The pad has two zero-profile valves to help you manage inflation of the pad. One is a multi-functional, micro-adjustable valve to let you fine-tune your comfort. The other is a one-way dump valve for fast and easy deflation.

The NEMO Roamer sleeping pad is available in Large (76” x 25) and XLarge (80” x 30”) size options. If you want to take camping luxury to the next level, you can even toggle two XLarge Roamers together to create the equivalent of a queen-sized mattress.

A standout

Likes

This pad feels just as comfortable as other 4 inch thick foam core camping mattresses (such as the Exped Megamat), but has the advantage of being about half the packed size and much lighter. The long-wide size of this pad is so light for what it is, that I would almost consider packing it for a short backpacking trip. Perhaps if they made a mummy shaped version of this pad and used some less durable and bulky fabrics, it could almost be a short backpacking option. It also seems to self-inflate much more than the Exped Megamat.

Dislikes

The valves are sometimes a little bit hard to open.

Great nights sleep!

Likes

Purchased two of these to use together as a double wide. The ability to attach them together works great! These self inflate extremely fast. If you like a softer mat you don't even really need to add any additional air. These are also nice and compact when rolled since you fold them in half before rolling up.

Dislikes

Doesn't come with a pump or pump sack for when you do need additional air. You do have the option to blow air into the mat. However I have confirmed that they are compatible with other manufacturers pumps. The inflation valve does seem to be a universal size.
