Description

  • Durable, water-resistant construction that's also recyclable: Making a recyclable backpack required NEMO to create a product that's almost entirely made from a single material family. This mono-polymer approach led to the development of the bag's main CERO fabric, a solution-dyed mono-polymer made entirely of recycled (and recyclable) PET. It also has a high tear strength and more built-in water resistance than traditional pack fabrics.
  • Comfortable suspension engineered to move with you: The contoured back panel has recycled and recyclable cushioning positioned at the heaviest sweat zones to wick away moisture and help dissipate body heat. Wide, flexible shoulder straps conform closely to your body for immediate and long-lasting comfort.
  • Smart organization for work or play (or both!): The main compartment includes an organization panel and zippered pocket to contain smaller accessories. A separate tech compartment includes an internal sleeve sized to comfortably fit a 15-inch laptop and a smaller sleeve to house a tablet. The laptop sleeve is positioned away from the back so the cushioned fit isn't compromised. There's also a large front stash pocket and hidden security pocket.
  • NEMO takes full responsibility for all Endless Promise products: In addition to the recycled construction of the CERO fabrics in the body and CCubed cushioning, NEMO's Endless Promise program aims to keep their products out of the landfill when they've reached the end of their useful life.

At a glance, this looks like just another day pack, but it has exceeded my expectations. I take it out whenever travelling and hiking in the same trip because the backpanel and shoulder straps are plush, yet breathable, making it comfortable to wear all day long. The hidden security pocket behind the backpanel isn’t quite large enough to fit my A5 size journal, but there is no shortage of organization in the main compartment to stow it elsewhere with plenty of other gear. I like that I can remove the sternum strap entirely when its not needed, which not every day pack can do. The front stash pocket is perfect for a spare layer or shoes and the vented sides allow damp articles to breathe. I can’t imagine being without this pack, but if there comes a day that it reaches the end of its life, the Vantage can be recycled as part of Nemo’s innovative Endless Promise collection.
