To keep the leather and fabric of your hiking boots or shoes clean, Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel should be applied prior to waterproofing liquids, waxes, gels or pastes. Removing dirt, oil and grease from the exterior of your shoes or boots allows waterproofing sprays and rubs to be fully absorbed and provide better waterproofing properties.

Bottle is easy to hold & clean with; applicator is attached to bottle making cleaning easier; my boots were only a little dirty, not caked with dirt/mud, & this product did the trick

Wish it came in a larger size, thus the loss of one star

Does a nice job of removing surface dirt and restoring some of the finish to Nubuck.

Won't remove heavy stains like grease or oil.
