The NNormal Men's Kjerag 02 NN trail runner offers feather-light, responsiveness for trail and alpine endeavors. This nimble, innovative shoe takes an eco-friendly design approach to deliver forward propulsion, technical performance, and high-mileage output in a lightweight, low-drop shoe.

Description

Sustainable construction in the upper achieves an excellent strength-to-weight ratio: Woven from individually coated polyamide and Kevlar yarns, the shoe's single-layer Matrix Light Jacquard upper is exceptionally breathable, highly durable, and uses significantly less water in the dyeing compared to traditional processes. A molded heel collar and a knitted tongue help to properly position your foot and ensure a blister-free fit. A protective cap and reinforced materials in the toe reduce the impact of rocks and roots.
Low-profile midsole design reduces weight and maximizes responsiveness: The shoe's Eexpure+ midsole uses supercritical EVA foam to deliver high-energy rebound. It maintains its structure much longer than traditional foams so you can count on getting tons of mileage out of the life of the shoe. A minimalist layer of protection takes a bit of the sting out of striding over technical terrain.
Vibram outsole provides confident grip on dirt or rock: Reflecting the lightweight focus of the shoe, its Vibram Litebase outsole has a "sticky" yet durable surface and 3.5mm lugs but is significantly lighter and thinner than standard Vibram outsoles. The result is you get the same great traction and long-term durability with much more "feel" for the route ahead. With a 26mm heel and a 20mm forefoot, the shoe has a low 6mm drop.

Right out of the box, the original Kjerag was one of the best fitting trail running shoes I’ve ever worn. My only gripe was that my beat-up feet and legs wished for a little more cushioning and support AND this updated version delivers both! I used to restrict my wearing of the Kjerag to sub 10 mile runs but now it’s my go-to at any distance and it really excels in challenging technical terrain where responsiveness is key.
