A true super shoe, the norda Women's 005 is optimized for trail racing. By using advanced materials and innovative engineering, the shoe doesn't just weigh next to nothing (7.5 ounces per shoe) but also delivers incredibly high mileage and hard-wearing durability. NOTE: size-up one half size for optimal fit.

Description

Innovative breathable and quick-drying Dyneema upper: The shoe's unique open mesh recycled Bio-Dyneema upper has a weave pattern that maximizes breathability, effectively drains moisture, and dries quickly. Despite its feathery weight the material offers excellent abrasion-resistance. A smooth, perforated microsuede tongue helps to dump excess heat and teams up with the entire upper to deliver a close but forgiving fit. Even the laces are built for performance with their stretch Dyneema fabrication that far exceeds the strength and abrasion-resistance of standard laces. A heel collar helps to lock your foot comfortably in place and keep out debris. Reflective piping on the upper enhances low-light visibility.
Race day-ready midsole that delivers results race after race after race: A lightweight, highly-responsive Arnitel midsole cushions each step and propels you forward. Despite its weight or lack of weight it is incredibly durable and maintains performance even after extended mileage and repeated wear. The shoe comes with two insoles, a molded Arnitel insole that offers beefed up protection for training blocks and a lighter die-cut insole for when you want to shave ounces to the bare minimum.
Next level outsole performance: Partnering with Vibram, norda equipped the 005 with a full-length one-piece soleplate and the first outsole compound to feature Megagrip Elite rubber. Incredibly lightweight but also incredibly grippy, the outsole bumps up traction with the employment of varying lug heights that allow the shoe to perform equally well on technical trails or fire roads and double track.

What about sizing?

Sold in pairs, the Women's 005 trail running shoe is available in a standard width and women's full and half sizes. NOTE that this model runs small, so per norda's suggestion, please choose a half size up. With a 28.5mm heel and a 21.5mm forefoot, the shoe has a 7mm drop.
