The classic The North Face Blue Kazoo sleeping bag provides backpackers with durable, reliable 3-season performance (15 Degree F temperature rating) at a weight of just over 2 pounds. Treated down insulation ensures all-weather performance.
The bag is insulated with The North Face’s proprietary 700-fill ProDown insulation. Down insulation has long been renowned for its compressible properties and efficiency in delivering an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. The shortcoming of down has been its susceptibility to the effects of moisture, as it is prone to lose much of its performance qualities when wet or damp. ProDown insulation applies water-repellency to the down so that is highly resistant to moisture, dries quickly if it should become wet, and continues to provide insulation even if wet. The bag’s 20D nylon ripstop fabric further shields the insulation from the elements while helping to keep weight to a minimum.
A fully insulated, fitted hood extends coverage and increases warmth. An integrated draft collar and full-length baffle behind the bag’s side zipper help to keep warm trapped inside the bag. The bag’s mummy-cut increases overall thermal-efficiency but a vaulted footbox does provide a little extra room for your feet to maintain their natural position. Integrated loops are designed to let you attach the bag directly to a sleeping pad (pad not included).
The North Face Blue Kazoo sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits to 6’ 0”) and Long (6’ 6”) lengths. A compression sack and storage sack are included.
