Expertly balancing load-hauling capability, durability, and weight, the Osprey Aether Pro 70 internal frame pack is built with experienced backpackers, wilderness guides, and mountaineers in mind. Its tough-as-nails construction stands up to demanding conditions and enables the pack to comfortably haul up to 60 pounds.
The pack utilizes a peripheral 3.55mm LightWire aluminum frame and a 6061 aluminum center stay to transfer load to your hips and maintain load stability. A precision-cut mesh/foam backpanel, padded IsoForm CM harness, and padded IsoForm CM hipbelt further aid in load stabilization and carrying comfort. The hipbelt's ErgoPull closure draws tension along the top and the bottom of the belt with split support wings. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to fine-tune fit with on-the-go adjustments.
Accommodating backpackers of different heights, the pack is available in your choice of sizes. The Small size fits torsos ranging from 16”-19”, the Medium fits from 18”-21”, and the Large best fits 20”-23” torso lengths. The IsoForm harness and hipbelt maximize performance, fit, and comfort.
The pack’s large main compartment is reached through a traditional top-loading access point. Dual front compression straps enable you to carry snowshoes or other gear and they also enable you to effectively cinch down the packbag to keep contents secure and compressed. Side compression straps offer additional gear lashing options and also aid in securing the contents of the pack. A removable top lid protects the contents of the pack and can be removed entirely to save weight. An integrated FlapJacket panel protects the main packbag if and when you aren't using the top lid.
Other features include integrated Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole loops, removable ice axe loops with cord attachments, removable sleeping pad straps, zippered hipbelt pockets, and a safety whistle integrated into the sternum strap buckle. An internal sleeve makes the pack hydration compatible (hydration system sold separately).
