Ideal for bike-packing and other active light pursuits, the Osprey Escapist 18 is extremely versatile. Despite weighing less than 2 pounds, the Escapist 18 is capable of comfortably carrying loads of up to 25 pounds.
Employing ridge molded foam and a low-profile design, the Escapist 18's AirScape back panel provides flexible support and breathability to combat heat build-up between your back and the pack body. The Biostretch ventilated adjustable harness straps are padded with die-cut slotted foam and covered in mesh to keep weight to a minimum. The minimalist hipbelt is constructed of breathable mesh. Together they enhance comfort and optimize fit. InsideOut compression straps on the lower sides allow you to cinch down the Escapist 18 and keep contents safely in place for load control.
Accommodating users of different dimensions, the Escapist 18 is available in two sizes: Small/Medium fits torsos ranging from 16"-20" in length and the Medium/Large size fits torsos that are between 19" and 22" in length. The storage capacity varies based on size, as well: Small/Medium is 976 cubic inches and Medium/Large is 1098 cubic inches.
Stretch woven pockets on the front and sides of the Escapist 18 offer additional organizational options and keep gear and extra layers close at hand. A small zippered pocket on the Escapist 18's shoulder strap is perfect for snacks, energy gels or electronics.
Additional features found on the Escapist 18 include a blinker light attachment and an integrated raincover. A lined, exterior compartment makes the Escapist 18 compatible with hydration systems (sold separately) and makes it possible to refill your reservoir without having to access the interior of the pack. An integrated LidLock clip securely stows a helmet without reducing the Escapist 18's storage capacity.
