Made for exploring backcountry slopes, the Osprey Firn 28 easily carries your mountaineering gear for skinning, scrambling and descending. Using the ambidextrous ski lasso system, the Firn 28 easily stows your skis on the go!

Description

  • Versatile suspension with vest-style fit that's adapted to snowy conditions: The Firn's suspension starts with a removable HDPE framesheet so you can tailor the support you need for each adventure. The backpanel uses two types of foam for support and padding, and it's covered with a smooth, snow-shedding material. The padded shoulder straps have a zippered pocket for phone or GPS device, and stretch mesh pockets for other items.
  • Innovative Ski Lasso carry system: The Firn has dual tuckaway ski loops that are highly adjustable so that you can decide how you want to carry your skis, including using the side compression straps for an A-frame carry. But the elasticized ski lasso lets you put your skis on you back in a side carry or on the back of the pack without ever taking it off.
  • Designed with alpine needs in mind: A lower zippered pocket on the side of the pack hold skins, crampons, or other gear you might need quick access to without taking off the pack. The front panel has an avalanche tool pocket, and the protective top flap can be used to cover the cinch top opening or to carry a helmet or rope. There's also a removable helmet net, dual tool locks, and glove-friendly buckles.
  • Sustainable construction that doesn't compromise on functionality or durability: Made of 100% recycled nylon, the pack's fabrics are bluesign approved. The pack itself is a certified bluesign product, which ensures that environmental and social considerations have gone into its design and construction.
