Developed in the challenging San Juan Mountains of Colorado with input from guides and ski patrollers from there and all over the world, the sleek Osprey Kamber 22 ski/snow pack has the fit and features necessary for elevated cold-weather performance.
Structural support is provided by a LightWire peripheral aluminum frame and an HDPE framesheet. A smooth-surface Thermoformed contoured backpanel sheds snow and keeps ice from building up. Contoured, padded shoulder straps and a padded hipbelt enhance fit and aid in load balance. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap allow you to make fine-tuned fit adjustments. The buckle of the sternum strap also doubles as a safety whistle. To further ensure a proper fit, the Kamber 22 is available in two separate size offerings. The 1220 cubic inch capacity Small/Medium pack comfortably fits torso sizes ranging from 16" to 19" while the Medium/Large (1343 cubic inches) has a torso fit range of 19" to 22".
The main packbag has panel-loading access. There is also a large, zippered front compartment and a smaller, zippered front storage pocket. Large zippered pockets on the hipbelt keep essentials close at hand. A dedicated pocket has sleeves for probes and shovels.
Other features include an integrated diagonal ski carry system, a stowable helmet carry system (helmet not included), tuckaway ice tool attachment points, and a scratch-free goggle pocket. Attachment points on the harness are ideal for lashing a GPS or radio. A lined internal sleeve is ideal for carrying a hydration system (sold separately) and an insulated sleeve on the harness helps to keep drinking tubes from freezing up in cold temperatures.
