Ideal for long backcountry day hikes or even overnighters, the Osprey Manta AG 36 hydration pack provides ample storage (2000+ cubic inches), houses an integrated 2.5L hydration system, and boasts an innovative, movement-mirroring suspension system. No longer do you need to settle for an ill-fitting pack in order to stay hydrated.
Osprey's Anti-Gravity Suspension system equips the pack with weight-carrying efficiency, breathability, and a contoured fit that’ll nearly make you forget you have it on your back. A broad-mesh, tensioned backpanel stretches seamlessly from the shoulder straps all the way out across the hipbelt. Though the pack maintains constant, responsive contact with the wearer, warm air can escape freely because of the separation caused between the mesh and the pack itself. Beneath the mesh, a lightweight aluminum frame provides support and distributes weight. Load lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further allow you to dial in fit. The Small/Medium Manta AG 36 is designed to best fit torso lengths ranging from 16”-19" and the Medium/Large size fits 18”-21” torsos.
Unlike traditional hydration bladders, the Osprey reservoir has welded baffles that minimize "barreling" by maintaining a more anatomical shape. Nestled within its own dedicated, externally-accessed compartment, the reservoir is locked securely in place, reducing the sloshing effect that many hydration pack users have come to accept as a necessary evil. The reservoir’s wide mouth is easily accessed through a patented, leakproof sliding closure that further adds speed and efficiency to refills that kids can even do themselves. An integrated PourShield makes the reservoir easy to fill and empty. An anti-microbial treatment prevents mold and bacteria from building up inside the reservoir.
In addition to a large main compartment, a sizable, zippered front pocket allows you to organize gear and a stretch woven front "shove-it" pocket allows you to keep extra layers close at hand. Zippered pockets on the hipbelt offer quick-and-easy access to energy gels, valuables and other small items. Other features include a helmet attachment loop, a safety light attachment point, and an integrated rain cover to protect the pack in inclement weather.
