The sleek, panel-loading Osprey Mutant 22 pack is ready made for ice climbing, fast-and-light alpinism, or ski mountaineering.
A framesheet lends the pack ultra-lightweight structure and load-balancing stability. When you aren’t carrying a heavy load and don't need as much support or just want to reduce the weight of the pack itself, you can remove the framesheet entirely. A laminated EVA backpanel cushions the load and is exceptionally durable. Padded shoulder straps and an adjustable and removable webbed hipbelt enhance fit and load-hauling capability. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further ensure load stability and a proper fit.
The panel-loading packbag offers streamlined storage for up to 1343 cubic inches of gear. There's an internal storage pocket as well as rope attachment points and internal compression. Other features include dual ToolLocks with bungee tie-offs, external daisy chain gear attachment points, glove-friendly buckles, a sternum strap safety-whistle, and a lined sleeve that makes the pack hydration system compatible (system sold separately).
